- Less than 25% users come back to app after first usage
- 75% users unsintall an app within 90 days
- 1 out of every 4 users who download an app use it for once only
Having more downloaders, but less daily active users is equal to losing traffic which results into losing potential revenue. Many top app development companies argue that they put proper efforts to keep users on track, they invest more on marketing strategies to keep flow on and they also pay close attention to users’ need to take a good care of them – In spite of all such efforts, they fail to rise the number of daily active users.
May be your efforts are not designed the way users want them. May be your efforts are not reaching to your users. Or there are many “may-be’s’” you are not aware of. Lets discuss what you are missing or what you should do to recover from the loss of app users and revenue.
1. Clear The Way
May be something is hindering users to explore your app. I have used many apps which I need necessarily for e.g. my banking app. But I uninstalled it after 3 uses because at first, it worked fine. After that, each time I was welcomed with an error message. All my intention of using this app in emergency transactions went in ruin. This was enough reason for me to uninstall the app.
To know the error occurring to your users, you have to collect data saying steps from where most users can’t go further. User feedback will be a big help. Once you are done with clearing all ways to enter the app and explore it at its max, don’t forget to share the news with your users.
2. Put a Limit on Offers
Of course, users love to receive offers – after all, this is the reason why they have your app. But sometimes, it is overwhelming. Imagine situation where you are too busy with some important task in your smartphone and you are unexpectedly disturb by an offer. You can’t hold it, not your users as well. Better to put a limit on offers and analyze proper timings to disturb your users with them for e.g. lunch or dinner timings. This will make your offers more effective and noticeable.
3. Get Familiar with Your Users
At first, you may not know more about your users. But as the time passes on, you should become familiar with their daily routine and the role your app plays within. This will help you know what users are looking for and how you can provide them the same through your app. This will also help you improve your app the way users want it.
So, as I said, in spite of all your efforts, there are reasons exist coming in between your users and your app. You have to find them out and start working on them as soon as possible.
